Our Ministries

Worship

Worship is one of most important ministries. The worship ministry committee is responsible for working with the pastor to order worship in such a way that God is glorified. Along with the Session, our organist, Carol Hoyt, our choir director, Elizabeth Stoneberger, and Charlene Piper serve to help plan our services.

Deacons

Our deacons work to serve the congregation. They provide funeral dinners, visit the homebound, and assist with home communion.

Martha Brennecke, Center, is our deacon ministry chair.

Community

The Community ministry builds connections between our church and the world around us as well as within the congregation.

This ministry does things like make cookies to feed hungry people or collect money for shoes for local children. This ministry works closely with the deacons as well.

Discipleship

Working hand in hand with Community ministry, the Discipleship ministry helps us to know God. Discipleship plans and leads Bible study, book study, and finds speakers for Potluck with a Purpose.

Building and Grounds

Our new building has many advantages over the old one. The building and grounds ministry has evolved to work with our sister congregation, First Christian Church (DOC) to keep the building and grounds a safe and holy place for the congregations to gather.
